Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

DefinitionAttention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a commonly behavioral disorder that affects many school-age children. It can change the way these children act, think, and feel. It has a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity/impulsive behavior.
OverviewIs one of the most chronic neuropsychiatric disorders in children and is characterized by inattentiveness, impulsivity, disorganization and restlessness inappropriate for age. Symptoms generally begin in early childhood, are usually present before 7 years of age, and persist into adolescence or adulthood in around two-thirds of patients. This disorder that often fails to give close attention to details or makes careless mistakes in school work, work, or other activities.
